TABA Overview

TABA, standing for “Technical and Business Assistance”, is essentially a mechanism to help you cover commercialization and business costs that otherwise could not be included in your SBIR/STTR proposal.

NIH SBIR/STTR Awardees may request TABA Funding up to:

  • $6,500 per year for Phase I
  • $50,000 per project period for Phase II

Each service is available separately or within the Phase I or Phase II package

Phase I Awardees Package ($5,000):

  • 2-hour 1:1 Fundraising Strategy Angel and SEED Round
  • Two Premier RESI tickets

  • Partnering Tutorial to hone your messaging and partnering meeting strategy
  • Innovator’s Pitch Challenge Participation

  • Excel spreadsheet of competitors
  • Heat maps for PPT inclusion

Phase II Awardees Package ($15,000):

  • Logo
  • Tagline
  • Elevator pitch
  • One pager
  • 2-page exec summary
  • 10-12-page PPT
